Counseling Method
A two-step process is used by Courageous Hearts Ministries to help people heal their hearts.
Step One is more educational in nature and uses the book "With All My Heart, I Will Love You" by Sherilyn Cook and/or a DVD study series to teach biblical principles about the healing of people's hearts. This 10-part study teaches in detail how sin affects people's lives and how the enemy cleverly uses this damage — the strongholds in our hearts — to isolate us, destroy our relationships and keep us from loving God with all our hearts. Our materials also teach how to use the evidences and flesh patterns in our lives to find the strongholds in our hearts. Finally, these materials show how to heal our hearts by resolving these strongholds completely through forgiveness as we use the power of God working in and through us. It is possible to break free from repetitive, sinful patterns. Hearts can become free to completely love God and enjoy intimate and lasting relationships with others.
Step Two guides and helps people on their own journey to identify and resolve damaged areas in their hearts. This can be done individually, with the help of family or friends, or by using Courageous Hearts Ministries' free counseling services. Counseling can also be done individually or with the help of a spouse or friend.
